Somehow that worked. I was about to throw this mac out the window. This is an excellent article, covers everything you need to know in a simple, concise manner. Get yourself a wifi analyser app on your phone, look to see which channel is the least crowded, and set your wifi router to that channel. This is the only solution that worked for me.
